Heat Treatment
* Hardened and tempered to Rockwell C 58 : good edge holding combined with ease of sharpening.
* Edge quench hardening : the blade is hard where it's needed, but leaving a tough spine.
* Double tempered : improved blade toughness compared to single tempering.
* All heat treating is done in house : complete control over this critical step in manufacture.
* I have a Chemistry PhD with work experience in corrosion and materials science : have studied and understand the heat treating process and other chemical aspects of metals, adhesives and materials.

Quality Control
