Leupold Wide Duplex® Reticle: Leupold designed the Wide Duplex reticle with a larger center gate for lightning fast target acquisition, even on a moving target.
Leupold Wide Duplex® RE Reticle: Place game of approximately 16" in height in the ranging bracket on the lower picket, and turn the power selector until it fits into this space, then read the numbers on the rear of the power selector ring to get an estimate of the range ("3" for 300 yards, etc).
Leupold Dot: A Leupold exclusive, this reticle still has a prominent dot like the so-called "floating dot." But the thinning portion of the crosshair makes locating the dot much easier.
Fine Duplex®: Thinner posts and crosshairs allow for less target coverage, making precision shots on small targets easy.
Duplex: Heavy posts stand out against cover and in twilight conditions, pointing boldly to the intersection. Centering is a snap. The thin crosshairs obscure little. VX-III models use the Duplex reticle for range estimating as well. If you bracket a deer, you can read the range on the power selector ring.
Heavy Duplex: With its heavy posts, the Heavy Duplex reticle is especially useful in low-light conditions
CPC: The CPC reticle is a steady taper down to a fine intersection. This gives a faster reference than a conventional crosshair by leading your eye to the center.
Post & Duplex: Offering the benefits of both the Duplex and the German #4, the Post & Duplex is the favorite of many hunters.
Target Dot: This is a conventional shooter's dot, which seems to "float." The crosshairs are extremely thin.
