Used for marking the rows and for deepening the rows after they are marked. One blade follows a guide line while the other blade marks the row. Then this tool is moved to the next row it deepens it and again marks the next row. This tool is a combination spacer and deepening tool. Both blades are cutters. |

A left hand spacing tool which has two blades. The right hand blade does not have teeth, instead it is sharp and smooth and will follow a fine guide line. The left hand blade has teeth and cuts the new row as the checkering progresses from the right to the left. Due to the sharp narrow guide blade it is possible to produce very straight rows and consequently exceedingly precise checkering. |
