change system. With this special bushing system, you
wil be able to stop loading, change dies and start loading
another caliber in seconds.
The Lock-N-Load
quick change bushing system is featured on Hornady’s new
Lock-N-Load Classic and Automatic Progressive reloading
presses - the most precise and efficient presses available
today.
The
Lock-N-Load concept is based on the positive locking action
of the bolt action rifle. Just like a bolt action
rifle, the locking action of our Lock-N-Load system is
incredibly strong and simple.
Once
dies are adjusted for loading, these settings are locked
in place on the die bushing with the die’s lock ring.
By keeping the die in the die bushing, it remains set for
future loading and removal with a simple twist. Plus, the
Lock-N-Load bushing system works with any powder measure
that uses standard threads allowing you to remove or change powder
measures without changing adjustments.
How
Lock-N-Load Works
1. Insert your die into the Lock-N-Load die bushing.
2. Insert the Lock-N-Load die bushing into the press
and lock into place.
3. Adjust to the desired position and lock the setting
in place with the die’s lock ring.
Any
time you want to change calibers, the die can be removed
with a counter-clockwise turn. Since the Lock-N-Load
bushing remains on the die, the die remains set exactly
as you left it.
The
Lock-N-Load Classic™ is the only single-stage press to feature
quick change dies. If you reload more than one caliber and
want the ease and simplicity of a single-stage press, you
want Hornady’s Lock-N-Load Classic. The Lock-N-Load Bushings
